Many senior citizens today exercise. Most long term care and assisted living facilities offer programs as do local senior or community centers. The first step in beginning an aerobic exercise program is getting the okay from your doctor.
Once youīre cleared, there are myriad opportunities for exercise...play golf, go to the YMCA/YWCA, ride a bike, go swimming, take an exercise class, start a class, go for a walk.
Start slowly and give yourself time to build your endurance. Drink plenty of water and rest when you need to. Pay attention to your body and donīt overdue. Most people come to enjoy their exercise program whatever it may be.
