Some Things to Consider

While serving as a caregiver, be certain to have consideration for your loved one.

Discuss:

How the person wants to be cared for.
Does he or she want privacy?
Is he or she afraid to be alone?
Find out what stimulates the person.
What are his or her interests?
Grooming and health concerns
Physical needs
Disabilities

Be certain to discuss future desires, especially his or her desires about illness, death and dying.
